Call for CWSHRC Manuscript Mentoring Workshop Participants 

 

On Wednesday, October 28, the Coalition of Women Scholars in the History of Rhetoric and Composition (CWSHRC) is offering one-on-one and small-group manuscript mentoring for any registered participant interested in receiving feedback on a publication project, whether a journal article, book chapter, book proposal, webtext, or other scholarly composition. Writers at all stages of publication development are welcome, including writers interested in turning conference papers, seminar papers, or dissertation chapters into articles. Interested authors will be matched with Coalition members with similar or complementary interests. To apply, please sign up via this LINK  by August 1, 2015.  Note: Authors will receive mentor information by September 1 and should be prepared to send mentors copies of the text they wish to workshop no later than September 15, 2015. Participants need not be 2015 FemRhet conference presenters.

 

 Travel Grant for Graduate Students

Graduate students who will be on the Feminisms and Rhetorics 2015 conference program are eligible for a $100.00 travel grant to support travel to or registration for the conference. To apply, submit the following to Shirley Rose (shirley.rose@asu.edu):

  • a letter explaining how this grant will help you with your scholarly research and professional development

  • a letter of support for your conference participation from a graduate faculty member with whom you are currently working.

Submissions are due August 1, 2015.
